The Moose Jaw Warriors prevailed on Wednesday night against the Regina Pats, leaving the Brandt Centre with a 2-1 win. Jagger Firkus and Brayden Yager were the goal scores for Moose Jaw in the victory, followed by some big saves by goaltender Connor Ungar. 

"The whole team was really good out there," says Ungar after the game. "My performance in particular I thought it was really steady, I didn't have to be spectacular but I managed pucks well and gave out team a chance and we were able to come away with it at the end."

Moose Jaw welcomes the US Division's Everett Silvertips and Tri-City Americans to the Hangar Friday and Saturday, with both games starting at 7:00 p.m. 

The Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors get the weekend off but will be back in action on Tuesday, as they host the Yorkton SECON Maulers at the Moose Jaw Events Centre at 7:00 p.m. 

The Moose Jaw U15 AA Warriors travel to Regina this weekend for the prestigious Graham Tuer U15 Challenge. They open the tournament up on Thursday against the Central Plains Capitals at 12:50 p.m. and they play the Bow Valley Timberwolves and Humboldt Broncos on Friday. 

The Vanier Vikings are preparing for the Tier 2 Championship this weekend, as they travel to Swift Current to take on the Colts. 

Linescores from Wednesday night's cash league at the Moose Jaw Curling Centre are in. BTN beat Paws N Play 8-5, Froehlich sneaked by Kal Tire 6-4, Wright over Montgomery 6-5, Protec Studios was victorious over John's Music 7-3, EMJ Marketing took down RK Sunview 7-2, and Protec Electric won 6-5 over Fountain Tire.

From the ice to the diamond, a number of Moose Jaw Minor Baseball Association local volunteers, players, a coach and umpire were honoured at the 2022 Baseball Sask Annual Awards. Below are the award winners:

And in the NHL on Wednesday, the only Canadian team in action was the Edmonton Oilers who beat St. Louis 3-1.
