Getting thousands and thousands of people in and out of one location isn't easy but the organizers with the Saskatchewan Airshow have been hard at work for months making a plan.

Local and visiting families are planning their weekend out as they get set to take in the returning airshow that hasn't graced the skies of the prairies in 14 years.

"One of the great things about this community and this event is that we've been partnering with the city to make sure that this weekend is an amazing weekend for everybody in Moose Jaw and to make sure that all of our events dovetail and work together. We're asking locals in the Moose Jaw area if they're interested to go out and support Sidewalk Days on Saturday, see the best of Moose Jaw in downtown and then on Sunday come out and see us at the airshow," Major Regan Wickett detailed, who is also the Director of Operations for the 2019 airshow.

Many questions have been asked leading up to the event, some of which has been about parking.

"We're asking people to go to our website and take a look at the traffic plans. We've built standard arrivals from North, South, East and West, take a look at what direction you're coming from and it's going to guide you to one of the two parking lots that we've got set up. We're aiming to make sure that people can try and get from anywhere in town out to the base in 20 minutes, and from once they arrive on base into the show from when they parked their car in 20 minutes."

Free transit services will also be up and running just after 9 am from two locations in Moose Jaw on Saturday and Sunday for residents to use, with officials asking families to still take their own vehicles to and from.

And with a full day of events organizers have made sure that people will be leaving with smiles on their faces and full bellies.

"I think you're going to see a variety of vendors from around province and western Canada. I think we actually stole most of the vendors from all of western Canada that are going to be coming here, so sorry to any other event that's not able to get a food vendor for this weekend," Major Wickett added.
