It's a non-profit undertaking and it's proving successful in its initial stages.  "Safe Homes for Single Mothers" was started up earlier this year by a local home inspector, Mark Paterson.  While he and some of his friends and partners have enjoyed helping local, single moms with some upgrades, they're hoping more volunteers will come forward and they're working on some corporate sponsorship to take it to the next level.

CHAB's Rob Carnie was on location for the 2nd project in September.  He talked with Mark and with the latest beneficiary, a local, single mom, Shari Braun, who first found out about "Safe Homes" right here on DiscoverMooseJaw.com earlier this summer.  Listen to Carnie's visit with Mark and Shari below this photo.
