An RCMP investigation into an illegal grow-op lead to the seizure of over 7000 marijuana plants.

Blaine Lake RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed three Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants Friday following an extensive investigation into a large-scale illegal marijuana grow-operation at a rural property south of Marcelin.

Two of those warrants were executed in the Marcelin area and one in Saskatoon.

A search warrant at a rural property near Marcelin where three individuals were arrested and RCMP seized 7,000 marijuana plants. The other search warrant was executed in the community of Marcelin by the Emergency Response Team where they seized a cell phone, a laptop, and bank and phone records.

RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime and Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team executed the third and final warrant in Saskatoon and conducted a search.
