Swift Current City RCMP has shared some additional information and insights on Lane Anthony Purves. 

Purves was issued an arrest warrant yesterday. The RCMP is charging him with 10 offences, and are actively searching for him.

As it turns out, Purves is also wanted by Assiniboia RCMP. He is known to frequent both there and Swift Current, along with Maple Creek, Regina, and Moose Jaw.

Swift Current City RCMP Constable Gary Christopher confirms the rumor that Purves has recently been in Swift Current.

"The rumor that we've been hearing is that he is in Swift Current or the area," said Christopher. "He is known to frequent Swift Current frequently."

One of the charges Purves faces is for a stolen vehicle. Christopher was able to confirm that the automobile was successfully recovered, and that Purves is also facing a break and enter charge after he stole the keys to that vehicle from within the owner's home. 

If anyone sees Purves, they are asked to contact Swift Current City RCMP by calling 778-4870, or 310-RCMP.

"Anybody with warrant status shouldn't be approached," cautioned Christopher. "They should just call the nearest RCMP detachment, or if they're in a city like Regina, call the Regina City Police."
