Moose Jaw Police responded to 42 calls for service.

7:08 am – Unwanted Guest – A subject was banging on a door and was unwanted at the residence.  The subject left on Police request.

9:58 am – Dispute – A dispute took place over cab fare.  One subject was sent on their way.

10:37 am – Theft – Subjects were observed stealing items from a drop off center.  The subjects were warned for theft and were advised to go pay for the items.

10:45 am – Mischief – Damage was done to a hotel room. This occurred sometime in the last two days.  The subject renting the room is to be charged.

11:29 am – Theft – A subject had their bike stolen when they stepped inside of a business.  The last direction of travel was provided to Police, which resulted in the suspect being located. The suspect fled on bicycle, later abandoning it and starting a foot chase.  The suspect was apprehended by Police and was charged for possession of stolen property, breaching court order and resisting arrest.  The accused was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

12:27 pm – Mischief – Three tires on a vehicle were slashed sometime overnight.

1:39 pm – Break & Enter – A garage was entered sometime in the last day. Nothing was taken.  Approximately $50 of damage was done to the window screen.

1:40 pm – Well Being Check – A subject was located in good health while visiting with family.

2:16 pm – Intoxicated Person – An intoxicated subject fell down stairs at a residence.  They were transported to hospital by EMS.

2:58 pm – Mischief – Sometime in the last day an unknown object was thrown or shot at a window causing it to shatter.

4:47 pm – Theft – A boxing bag was stolen from the front yard of a residence sometime overnight.

5:04 pm – Assist to Locate – Subjects were located and transported home by Police.

5:45 pm – Dispute – A verbal disagreement took place between two parties.  Both were warned and were advised to cease contact.

5:50 pm – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime in the last month, causing approximately $500 damage to the rear passenger bumper.

6:55 pm – Assist Elderly – A subject was out for a walk and forgot where they lived.  Police transported the individual home.

8:41 pm – Well Being Check – All subjects were found to be in good health. There was no concern for their safety or well being.

9:23 pm – Dispute – A property dispute occurred between two parties.  The situation was mediated by Police, with one party leaving the residence for the night.

9:50 pm – Disturbance – A subject was trying to get into a secure building.  The subject was located a few blocks away and was warned not to go back as they were not welcome there.  They stated they were not trying to enter the building.

10:36 pm – Mischief – A dispute between two parties resulted in one throwing food on the other’s vehicle.  The subject was warned as per the complainant’s wishes.

11:06 pm – Dispute – A verbal dispute occurred between two parties, with one subject gone from the residence prior to Police arrival.

Police responded to nine 911 calls.
Police assisted other agencies in two cases.
Police responded to two alarm calls.
Police executed one warrant.
Police responded to two parking bylaw infractions.
