Moose Jaw Police responded to 47 calls for service.

7:09 am – Disturbance – A subject was wandering around an area yelling and screaming to himself.  The subject was located and warned.

7:18 am – Assist Other Agency – A trailer was sinking into the pavement. The fire department and a towing company were contacted.

8:27 am – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime overnight. There was damage to the rear driver’s side fender.  Police continue to investigate as debris was left behind.

9:07 am – Noise Bylaw – A generator was being run day and night.  Neighbours assisted in making contact with the homeowner.

10:27 am – Attempt Theft – Overnight a suspect attempted to enter a vehicle. No entry was gained and no damage was done to the vehicle.  Video was obtained of the suspect. Police continue to investigate.

11:55 am – Dangerous Driving – A plate number was obtained for a vehicle that fishtailed into a parking lot.  Police are still investigating to speak with the registered owner.

1:14 pm –Vehicle Seizure – A vehicle being driven by an unauthorized driver was seized by police.  Tickets were issued to the driver.

1:25 pm – Hit & Run – This occurred June 12 between 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm, causing approximately $1500 damage to the rear passenger side of a vehicle.

1:31 pm – Break & Enter – This occurred between 9:30 am - 1:15 pm. A laptop was taken.  The property was added to a database as stolen.  Police continue to investigate.

3:47 pm – Hit & Run – This occurred between 10:30 am - 10:45 am, causing approximately $750 damage to the rear tail light.

4:07 pm – Break & Enter – An unknown person entered an apartment and stole a cell phone.  Attempts at contacting the complainant met with negative results.  Police are still investigating.

4:12 pm – Erratic Driving – The plate number and vehicle description were obtained for a vehicle that almost caused a couple of collisions.  Police are investigating to contact the registered owner.

4:41 pm – Obstruct Police – The subject is to be charged.

5:16 pm – Recovered Stolen Vehicle – A vehicle reported stolen in December 2017 was located.

7:21 pm – Impaired Driving – The plate number and vehicle description were obtained for a vehicle believed to be operated by an impaired driver.  The vehicle was not located in the area or at the residence.  Police are investigating to speak to the registered owner.

7:50 pm – Impaired Driving – The plate number and vehicle description were obtained for a vehicle believed to be operated by an impaired driver.  Police conducted a vehicle stop and found the driver to be sober.

8:00 pm – Dangerous Dog – A dog was running loose with no collar.  The Humane Society was called to pick up the dog.

9:04 pm – Loud Party – No excessive noise was noted by police.  The homeowner was warned under the bylaw.

9:28 pm – Assault – A subject was charged with assault.  They were released to appear in court at a later date.

12:13 am – Breach Court Order – A suspicious subject was reported to be in the area for the last hour.  The subject was located and detained for breaching court ordered conditions.  The subject was also detained on outstanding warrants and is to appear in court at a later date.

12:33 am – Dispute – A young couple was arguing about a relationship breakup. The parties were sent their separate ways.

1:26 am – Intoxicated Person – A subject was detained for being drunk in public.  They are to be released when sober.

1:28 am – Impaired Driving – While on route to another call, Police came across a single vehicle rollover with entrapment.  The subject was extracted from the vehicle with the help of the Fire Department and was cleared medically by EMS.  The subject was found to be impaired, which resulted in charges of impaired driving and exceeding .08.  The subject was held until sober and was released to appear in court at a later date.

Police assisted other agencies in two cases.
