Moose Jaw Police responded to 61 calls for service.

10:45 am – 800 Block 8th Ave NW – Threats – A subject left threats out of frustration with different government systems; the subject was spoken to and warned about their actions.

11:13 am – 500 Block Athabasca St E – Sometime today a driver’s side mirror was damaged; the damage is estimated at $500,and SGI forms were completed.

11:44 am – 600 Block Stadacona St E – Assistance to Sick Person – A subject was located and taken to the hospital voluntarily. They were left in the care of hospital staff.

11:46 am – 200 Block 8th Ave NW – Theft – Theft of a ramp was reported to police. The incident is on video, and police are investigating to identify the subject on the video.

12:50 pm – 1000 Block 12th Ave SW – Assist to Locate – A subject was located and taken home.

1:50 pm – 1300 Block Caribou St E – Abandoned Vehicle – Police confirmed the vehicle was not stolen. The vehicle was towed at the request of the property owner.

2:10 pm – 100 Block Manitoba St E – Police are investigating a possible fraud.

2:11 pm – 1st Ave NW at Athabasca St W – MVA Under – A two vehicle accident occurred. Police assisted with name exchange, and one driver was issued a ticket for driving while suspended.

3:19 pm – 0 Block Stadacona St W – Intoxicated Person – An intoxicated subject was standing on the roof of a vehicle. The subject was located and charged with causing a disturbance and mischief, and they were held in cells until sober. They are to be released in the morning for a later court date.

3:45 pm – 0 Block Arrowhead Rd – Assist to Locate – A complainant was requesting assistance to locate individuals. The subjects were located at a friend’s house and were taken home.

4:10 pm – 600 Block Stadacona St E – Bike Theft – There was a theft of a bike sometime during the day. Police are investigating to view the video footage.

4:25 pm – 1100 Block 5th Ave NE – Suspicious People – There was a report of suspicious people going door to door. The subjects were located, and it was confirmed they are in town doing door to door sales for Fluent Security for the next couple of weeks.

4:32 pm – 800 Block 7th Ave NE – Dispute – There was a dispute between two subjects. The dispute was mediated by police.

4:55 pm – 500 Block 1st Ave NW – Mischief – There was a dispute between two parties over possible mischief to a vehicle. The dispute was mediated.

5:32 pm – 1100 Block Warner St – Trespassing – There was a report of three youths being on the property yesterday and today and being mischievous. The subjects were banging on the door, ringing the doorbell and turning on the sprinklers. Police are still investigating to follow up with the principal to identify the subjects.

6:43 pm – A subject attended Moose Jaw Police Service seeking advice on how to get further medical assistance for a family member. Advice was given with the subject to follow up with the hospital.

7:28 pm – 900 Block Main St N – Intoxicated Person – A subject was located and brought back to cells. EMS attended and transported the subject to hospital for observation.

7:44 pm – 500 Block 9th Ave SW – Well Being Check – There was a report of someone sleeping in a vehicle with possible health issues. The subject was located, confirmed not intoxicated and was cleared medically by EMS. They were just resting after a long day’s work and were going home to bed.

7:46 pm – 0 Block Manitoba St W – Theft – There was a report of a theft of a VLT ticket. The complainant only wanted the incident documented.

8:42 pm – 500 Block Hochelaga St W – Dispute – A complainant was seeking options regarding an ex driving past their house. Options were given and police will talk to the other party involved and warn them to stop all contact as per the complainant’s wishes.

9:26 pm – 300 Block 4th Av SW – Suspicious Person – A subject was peeking in the window of a closed business and trying to get into cars. The subject was located and arrested on outstanding warrants. The individual was held in cells for court in the morning.

11:03 pm – 0 Block Diefenbaker Dr – Moose Jaw Police Service received a request to assist with an intoxicated male who was being belligerent. The male was cleared medically and discharged into the care of Moose Jaw Police Service. He was held in cells to be released when sober.

11:08 pm – 500 Block 9th Ave NW – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties over a lawnmower. The lawnmower was returned to the owner.

12:32 am – 0 Block Fairford St W – Intoxicated Person – An individual was requesting assistance with an unwanted guest. The subject was arrested on outstanding warrants and was brought to cells and held till sober. They are to be released for a later court date.

12:38 am – 1400 Block Duffield St W – Police were called to the area to a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that had just occurred. Police located the offending vehicle a short distance away. The driver was issued an ASD demand and the result was a fail. Further breath samples resulted in the driver being charged for exceeding .08 and impaired driving. The driver was also issued a ticket for failing to remain at the scene of an accident. The damage is estimated at $15,000 and a vehicle was towed. The subject was detained in cells until sober.

1:58 am – 1000 2nd Ave NE - Break and Enter – There was a break and enter to a locked garage. Taken were a circular saw and a quad. The value of the loss is $3,600, and police continue to investigate.

2:09 am – 800 Block Main St N – Moose Jaw Police Service received several 911 calls about a disturbance in a building. The subject was charged with uttering threats and possession of a knife. They were held in cells to be released in the morning in front of a Justice of the Peace with several conditions for a later court date.

Police executed six warrants.
