Moose Jaw Police responded to 44 calls for service.

8:28 am – 1300 Block Stadacona St W – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime the day prior, with damage to the driver’s side mirror. There was approximately $1000 of damage and no suspects or witnesses.

8:51 am – 500 Block Vaughan St – Suspicious Person – A person was lying under blankets alongside a bike. The complainant wasn’t sure that the person was okay. Police attended and spoke to the person and sent them on their way.

10:15 am – 300 Block Stadacona St W – Mischief – An unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. Phone cords and children’s movies were taken, liquid was spilled on the seat, and papers were strewn about. The complainant wanted it reported for informational purposes.

11:52 am – 1000 Block Algoma Av – Assault – A person was just assaulted by another person and thought that the person was still lingering by the residence. Police attended to check the area and speak with the person assaulted.

12:44 pm – 0 Block Thatcher Dr E – Hit & Run – This occurred a few days prior, with damage to the right rear reflector. There was approximately $500 of damage and there were no suspects.

12:56 pm – 2800 Block Britannia Rd – Suspicious Occurrence – A crew went to clean empty bays when they noticed items that appeared to be stolen.

1:35 pm – 300 Block North Service Rd – Multi Vehicle Accident – Two semis were involved in an accident with minor damage. Police attended as the licence plates were out of province.

1:56 pm – 1100 Block Redland Av – Fire Call – Police attended to assist the fire hall with a residential fire. Police are still investigating.

2:28 pm – 9th Av NW at Highway 1 – Multi Vehicle Accident with Injury – There was a vehicle vs. semi accident with one party transferred to the hospital. The damage was estimated at $75,000, and one party failed to yield.

4:13 pm – 500 Block 1st Av NW – Fraud – Someone was using someone else’s account in business to charge items to. The complainant is to come in to discuss it further.

4:35 pm – 9th Av NE at Caribou St E – Suspicious Occurrence – There was a pot wedged under a bench seat. A complainant called and stated they’d like police to attend as it was such a strange thing to find in such a way. Police disposed of the pot.

5:55 pm – 1000 Block Monk Av – Dispute between Neighbours – There was an issue between a complainant’s dogs and a neighbour. Police spoke with the parties involved and mediated the situation.

5:56 pm – 0 Block McDonald St – Impaired Driving – A vehicle hit a lamp post, and the post appeared to be falling over. Police attended and found the person to be impaired. The individual was arrested and brought to cells and is to be charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Exceeding  .08 BAC.

6:37 pm – 600 Block Stadacona St E – Missing Person – Police attended to the area after receiving a report of a person who was not giving any information of where they live or who they are. Police found out who the person was and helped them arrive safely home.

8:15 pm – 900 Block Normandy Dr – Assist EMS – A complainant required assistance with a person in the home. Police attended and tried to reason with the person to no avail. The EMS transported the individual to the hospital.

8:26 pm – 600 Block Stadacona St E – Theft Under – A complainant thought someone entered their garage yesterday or today as they noticed items missing. Police attended and spoke with the complainant. There was approximately $80 in value stolen and no suspects.

3:16 am – Caribou St E at 12th Av NE – Theft – A person attended the police station to report a theft from the back of their vehicle approximately two weeks ago. The value in loss of items is $700. There are no suspects or witnesses.

3:50 am – 1200 Block 5th Av NW – Mischief – A person entered the complainant’s vehicle. There doesn’t appear to be anything missing but the car alarm went off.

5:05 am – 1500 7th Av SW – A complainant called and stated that there was a cyclist on the property who passed all the signs stating to not go past this point. Police attended, but the cyclist was not tracked down.

5:33 am – 1000 Block Stadacona St E – Suspicious Occurrence – A person in the area was trying to break into a car but was scared off by the complainant. Police attended to the area but did not find person.
