Teachers from across the province are participating in a one-day strike today as the impasse between the province and Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation continues.

Thursday and Friday will see the withdrawal of extracurriculars across the province, with the future of Hoopla in Moose Jaw to be decided by 3 p.m. today. If job action is not suspended, Hoopla will be cancelled due to the necessary volunteer efforts of teachers.

The Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation said they expect there will be more than 4,000 teachers striking in front of the Legislative Building in Regina today as the provincial budget is announced.
