Moose Jaw Police responded to 38 calls for service.          

9:16 am – Moose Jaw Police Service – Three warrants were issued for subjects who failed to attend the station for fingerprinting.

9:18 am – 0 Block Lancaster Rd – Attempted Theft of Vehicle -Sometime overnight someone pried a door open on a truck and tampered with the steering column. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

9:23 am – 100 Block Ominica St W – Breach Recognizance – A subject is to be charged with breaching no contact conditions by way of aiding and abetting.

12:08 pm – 1300 12th Ave SW – Well Being Check – A complainant wished for a well-being check on a family member. The subject was located in fine health, and the complainant was advised.

12:59 pm – 300 Block Wood Lily Dr – Fraud – Police are investigating a possible fraud.

1:00 pm – 0 Block Iroquois St W – Suspicious Person – Police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area, who was possibly trying garage doors. No one was located in the area matching the description given. The complainant advised that they didn’t actually see the person enter any buildings. They will be on the look-out for the subject during the day.

1:36 pm – 1200 Block 11th Ave SW – Noise Bylaw – There was a report of someone causing a disturbance in an apartment building. Police attended and spoke to and warned the tenant.

2:16 pm – 1300 Block 13th Ave SW – Assist to Locate – A subject was located in fine health in the care of family members, and the complainant was advised.

2:19 pm – 1100 Block Prince Charles Place – Disturbance – Police attended and spoke to the homeowner. Everything was fine. The homeowner is just a very loud talker, and the homeowner was advised to be mindful of disturbing neighbours’ peace and quiet.

3:26 pm – 900 Block Athabasca St W – Theft from Vehicle – Sometime overnight a vehicle was entered. The vehicle was rummaged through and some property was taken. Police are still investigating to identify subjects.

3:39 pm – 0 Block Caribou St W – Police are investigating a fare fraud in the amount of $12.40. This is still under investigation to identify the subjects on the video.

4:11 pm – Thatcher Dr E at 9th Ave NE – Motor Vehicle Collision – There was  a two vehicle collision with no injuries. One vehicle required towing, and the damage is estimated at $8,000. One driver was charged for disobey a stop sign.

6:13 pm – 0 Block Highland Rd – Dispute – There was a dispute over returning property. The subject was contacted and advised to return the property.

6:14 pm – 600 Block 4th Ave SW – Dispute – A dispute occurred between two parties over a licence plate. The complainant was given advice on how to cancel the plate with SGI.

8:43 pm – 0 Block Stadacona St W – Motor Vehicle Accident – The complainant called in about a hit and run to their vehicle. Through further police investigation the other vehicle involved was located. Police assisted with name exchange, and damage to the vehicles is estimated at $5,000.

9:59 pm – 300 Block 4th Ave SW – Well Being Check – There was a report of someone laying down in the vestibule of a business. Police located the subject and found they were in good health. The subject advised that they were just warming up but would be on their way.

12:21 am – 200 Block Coteau St W – Assistance to Sick Person – The subject was located and taken to the hospital and left in their care.
