Moose Jaw Police responded to 33 calls for service.

9:51 am – During a routine traffic patrol, police came across a young child walking on their own. The family was located and the child was returned to them.

10:16 am – MVC – A two vehicle accident resulted in damage estimated at $2,000. SGI forms were filled out and submitted.

12:17 pm – Suspicious Person – There was a report of someone trying to break into a car. Police spoke to the subject involved, and they were just using the door mirror.

1:37 pm – Attempted Fraud – A complainant received a letter stating that they won a car and just had to send $850 to a Lethbridge address to receive the vehicle. The family member was able to get the letter back from the post office, and this was reported for information purposes.

4:26 pm – Unwanted Guest – A subject showed up at a residence they are on conditions to stay away from. The subject was charged and released for a later court date.

4:43 pm – MVC – A two vehicle MVC with no injuries occurred. One vehicle required towing, the damage is estimated at $10,000, and one driver was charged for failing to yield to a vehicle prior to making a turn.

6:44 pm – Noise Bylaw – There was an ongoing issue with loud music. Police spoke to the complainant, and this is still under investigation.

7:22 pm – Noise Bylaw – There was a report of a noisy stereo. The homeowner was warned.

8:45 pm – Erratic Driver – There was a report of an erratic driver who blew a stop sign and was speeding in a parking lot with the plate number obtained. The vehicle was located and the driver was warned as per the complainant’s wishes.

9:42 pm – Barking Dog – There was a report of several dogs barking at a residence. The dog owner was spoken to and warned.

9:53 pm – A complainant reporting receiving threats. A warrant is to be drawn up for charges.

1:26 am – Fraud – A subject left the premises without paying for their tab. The complainant was able to provide a plate number for the vehicle that the subject left in. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was found to be impaired. After testing it was confirmed that the subject was impaired. They were held in cells until sober. The subject is to be charged with impaired driving, exceeding .08, and obtaining food by fraud.

1:37 am – Assist to Locate – A subject was located and would be going home. The complainant was advised.

1:42 am – A subject in licensed premises was trying to fight other patrons. The subject was located and was arrested for being drunk in public. The subject was also to be charged with mischief.

1:47 am – Assault – There was a report of an assault occurring in a licensed premise. A statement was taken as well as pictures of injuries, and police continue to investigate.

3:05 am – Intoxicated Person – An intoxicated person showed up at a complainant’s door, and then took off running. The subject was located and was taken home to a sober care giver.

Police executed one warrant.
