Moose Jaw Police responded to 42 calls for service.

8:36 am – Suspicious Occurrence – A complainant was concerned that the neighbour’s dog was barking as this was unusual. It was confirmed that the subject had been away from the home that morning.

8:56 am – Theft – A lock was stolen off of a garbage can. Video surveillance was provided. The matter is still under investigation.

9:01 am – Dispute – An individual was upset about posts on Facebook giving negative reviews. The matter is still under investigation.

9:09 am – Disturbance – A person was wandering around, talking out loud to himself. The individual was identified but left prior to police arrival.

9:24 am – Harassing Communication – An individual was receiving unwanted text messages. This was reported for information purposes and the individual was advised to call back if it continues.

9:50 am – Suspicious Occurrence – The driver of a Toyota Tacoma truck was speeding in the area and almost hit pedestrians and a complainant’s truck. The matter is under investigation to follow up with the owner of the truck and to obtain video.

10:52 am – MVA Over – A two vehicle accident resulted in $3000 in damages. One vehicle was towed and one person was charged for failing to yield.

11:00 am – Break and Enter – Sometime in the last three weeks the homeowner’s recycling was stolen from the shed. There are no suspects or witnesses.

2:20 pm – Dangerous Driving – There was a report of a silver coloured SUV driving in the area at a high rate of speed. A licence plate number was obtained, and this is still under investigation for police to speak with the registered owner.

3:15 pm – Parking Bylaw – Tires were marked and police will check back in 48 hours.

4:21 pm – Abandoned Vehicle – A vehicle was tucked back inside some trees. The vehicle was unregistered and was towed to the compound.

5:26 pm – Dispute – The situation was mediated and police will follow up tomorrow.

8:38 pm – Other Bylaw – Individuals were setting off fireworks. They were warned of the bylaw.

8:39 pm - Barking Dogs – There were complaints of dogs barking all day. The owner was warned of the dog bylaw.

9:03 pm – Dispute – fighting broke out amongst individuals. The situation was mediated and everyone was sent on their way.

9:54 pm – Driving Impaired – An individual was charged with impaired driving and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.

10:43 pm – Dispute – The situation was mediated.

11:12 pm – Driving Impaired – an individual was charged with impaired driving and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.

12:17 am - Driving Impaired – An individual was charged with impaired driving and the vehicle was seized for 30 days.
