November 11th, 2019 marks the 101st anniversary of the end of World War One, this year also marks the 74th anniversary of the end of World War Two, and most recently it marks the 5th anniversary since the last 84 soldiers left Afghanistan on March 15th, 2014.

Remembrance Day is a day for paying respects, a day to reflect, and a day to be grateful for the sacrifices that the men and women of Canada have made so that we here today could enjoy a peaceful, and free country.

It is also to pay homage to the veterans that participated in any one of the conflicts Canada has been in.

Mosaic Place held a Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, November 11th, people from many walks of life came to pay their respects including many currently serving military members, veterans, members of the Royal Canadian Legion, and many members of the public.

The veterans' parade was cancelled due to the cold weather but, nonetheless, a beautiful ceremony was had.
