So, I was out and about yesterday on a sunny, warm spring day in Moose Jaw.  People were happy.  They were smiling and waving.

So, I get downtown to pick up some supplies and I run into an acquaintance.  I wanted to cut our conversation short.  I told him I wanted to get home to watch the Maple Leafs and the Bruins on Hockey Night in Canada.  He said, "Oh, ya...me too!"  And then he said, "I wish they'd start those games at 6 o'clock.  That'd give us time to get home from work and get ready for the game."

I said, "Well, there's two hours difference right now between us and Eastern Time.  If we were to make the switch to Daylight Savings Time, we'd only have a one hour difference and those games down east would come on at 6 o'clock."

He said, "We are on Daylight Savings Time."

I said, "No, we're not...but if we were, you'd get your wish. So", I said, "You'd be in favour of making the switch and changing our clocks twice a year?"

He laughed and he said, "No!"

And then I wished I had cut our conversation shorter.
