A look at what's going on in the Moose Jaw sports scene.

 

- The Lynbrook Golf and Country Club's Sandra Davey and Brendan Halstead are tied for third at the Saskatchewan Women's Rosebowl Championship in Tisdale after shooting a first round 63.  The Hillcrest's Elaine Dionne and Marlene Phillipson shot a day one score of 71.  The championship will be decided Thursday.

- The round robin at the Bantam Box Lacrosse Championships in Whitby, Ontario wraps up Thursday.  Team Saskatchewan, which features Moose Jaw players Cody Dunlop and Jake Switzer, is 1-3 heading into action against Nova Scotia and Ontario.

- Memorial Field Fastball playoffs resume tonight.  Remax takes on the top ranked Canadians for a pair of games.  Remax leads the best of five series 1-0, and with a sweep, would advance to the league final.  The first game is at 7pm; the second goes at 9pm.  The Jets and Park Hotel Giants series resumes Monday, August 13th.

- The Edmonton Oilers resigned former Moose Jaw Warriors Captain Kyle Brodziak to a two-year contract.  Brodziak split the 2006-2007 season with the Oilers and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL.  The 23-year-old appeared in six games with Oilers last season scoring one goal, which was his first in the NHL.  In the AHL, he had 56 points in 62 games.  Brodziak played with the Warriors from 1999-2004, notching 185 points in 273 games.
