Will the search continue for a 19 year old Moose Jaw man who went missing in Buffalo Pound Tuesday morning?

The search is not going so well at Buffalo Pound Lake.

RCMP and volunteers from Moose Jaw Search and Rescue are trying to locate the young man who went missing while swimming at Buffalo Pound Lake early Tuesday morning.

However, RCMP Sgt. Brad Kaeding says heavy algae in the lake limits visibility to 2 or 3 feet.

"We always remain hopeful but after this much time and as time passes we do lean more towards recovery rather than rescue but we always remain hopeful until the body or the person has been found."

The man has been missing since about 4 o'clock Tuesday morning. He had been doing some swimming with some friends on a warm summer night. They were apparently diving off the bridge on the Highway 2 causeway.
