Earlier this year Tragically Hip lead singer Gord Downie announced he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Soon after the legendary Canadian band began a final, cross-Canada tour in support of their latest, and likely last, album "Man Machine Poem."

The final stop for the show is in the band's hometown of Kinsgston, ON and CBC will be showing it nationwide Saturday night (August 20).

And if you'd like to watch it in the company of other passionate fans, you can do so at Moose Jaw's Crushed Can restaurant/lounge.

Moose Jaw's Jackie L'Heureux helped organize a fundraiser for the viewing party, as you can catch the show on all of the big screens at the Crushed Can. Along with the concert, there will be a 50/50, draws and raffles all in support of a great cause.

"All of the money that is raised will go to the Gord Downie Foundation for Brain Cancer Research." explained L'Heureux.

The concert begins at 6:30 and admission is free but there will be a collection that will go towards the overall fundraising efforts for the foundation.
