Can confirm, serving is the worst for stress.

As a waitress I spent an inordinate amount of time in the supply room sobbing because customers were rude to me, or because a group of sports teams showed up unannounced and I was the only server in the building.

My advice to relieving that stress? If you know your sports team or massive family needs to eat, call ahead by a few hours so they don't send serving staff home due to lack of customers. Better yet, take advantage of the "team menu" rather than ordering independent, multi-substitution meals while somehow expecting to be out of the building in 45 minutes.

And for the love of all that is good, do not, DO NOT interrupt the overworked server in the middle of serving food to your group of 50 to ask for bills to be divvied up because "we want to get back to the ball diamond ASAP". Calm down, Sharon. Let me feed people first.

And if you're a teenage boy who thinks it's funny to pour parm in your drink and ask me for a new one? You're gonna be waiting a looooooong time for a refill.

Clearly I still have a lot of pent up serving rage...
