Think about the jobs you've had or the job you have and consider how much stress is involved.  Now, what jobs would you think are the most stressful?

I would guess the stress is heavy on our emergency services people, our doctors and teachers but, a new study finds more menial and demanding jobs are more detrimental to physical and mental health.

And, the most stressful occupation?  Server.  That's right, the waitresses and waiters who take your order and deliver the food and drink you demand.

Scientists found stress in a job is related to feeling in control and respected.  So, while surgeons and doctors, police officers and firefighters have mentally demanding jobs, most of them feel empowered and appreciated.  It's not the same for those in the service industry.

So, some food for thought for you for the next time you go out for a bite to eat.
