The Hustlers hit the field for a doubleheader on Wednesday night at Caribou Heights in the Moose Jaw Senior Ladies Fastball League.

In the first game of the double-bill, the Hustlers dropped a 7-0 game to the Colts, but they bounced back in the second game with an 8-1 win over the Ice.

Colts pitcher Sandi Grey held the Hustlers to just two hits during the shutout win to start the night.

The Colts did the majority of their damage in the first inning as their first four hitters reached base and came around to score during the six-run frame. They tacked on another run in the second and cruised to the victory.

Gray scored twice to help her cause as well.

In the second game, Sheri Logan led off with a triple, which Tanya McLean followed up with an RBI-double and the Hustlers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one.

Logan had a two-run single in the second inning as the Hustlers extended their lead to 5-0.

After the Hustlers added another run in each of the third and fourth innings, Logan scored her third run of the game after leading off the fifth with a single to seal the win.

KC Power drove in the Ice's lone run with a single in the fourth.

Rachelle Grado pitched the Hustlers to the win, allowing one run on five hits with three strikeouts and no walks.

The league is back on the field on Thursday night with the Colts facing the Heat at 6:30 p.m.

Over at Optimist Park on Wednesday, the Fury beat the Slammers in the Squirts Division Playoffs; the Magic knocked off the Gators and the Twisters beat the Panthers in the Peewee Division Playoffs; and Assiniboia won over the Nitro in the Bantam/Midget Division Playoffs.
