Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a heat warning for most of Southern Saskatchewan.

Temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows near 16 degrees Celsius are expected for the next three days.

An upper ridge building in from the west will bring hot weather for much of this week.

Heat warnings are issued for maximums of 32 or more in southern Saskatchewan followed by minimums of 16 or more for two consecutive days.

Some of the effects of heat illness include swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heatstroke and the worsening of some health conditions.

It is recommended that outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.
