Now that restrictions have been lifted throughout the province, Moose Jaw Pride will be holding a weekly in-person meet-up called Good Vibes Cafe.

Annah McDonald is one of the organizers of the meet-up and is the Out and About Coordinator with MJ Pride. She says the cafe was something they hosted before COVID but had to put on hold for the last year and a half.

She gives more details about what all takes place.

"We are doing this mainly for queer youth and allies aged 12-17 to come and have a safe, open space to hang out, make connections, and enjoy themselves every Wednesday from 6:30-9:30."

While the cafe offers a great chance for youth to meet up and talk, McDonald says they also take part in activities while they're together.

"We will be rotating between game nights and movie nights, just providing a safe and open place for youth to come, hang out, and create connections in the community."

Right now, the plan is to host the cafe every Wednesday until the end of August. McDonald says that they may host the event after that as well if the interest is there.
