The Early Years Family Resource Centre is hosting a Welcome Week, starting Monday and ending on Friday.

This week is for families with children aged 0-5 and will be hosted at the Early Years Family Resource Centre, 1250 11 Ave NW.

Several events will be taking place over the week, including a live book reading, Sask Reptile Show and a Bike Rodeo and Car Seat Education with the Moose Jaw Police Service.

Wanda Peakman, Coordinator at the Early Years Family Resource Centre, says they will also have a developmental check-in for kids. "Families can come and bring their little ones, and use the screening tool to check on their child's development where we celebrate milestones and see how they are growing."

The developmental check-in will be on Wednesday from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm.

Peakman also says all of the services they provide are free. "We provide no-cost services in drop and play and also group activities, so families can come to the centre and sign up for a program for free."

Drop-in play times are also available throughout the week.

Masks are optional outside but are still required for anyone 3 years of age and older when inside the building.

Most of the events will be happening outside, depending on the weather.
