To fund raise for its more than 400 projects around the Moose Jaw Area, Ducks Unlimited (DU) held a dinner auction Wednesday evening at the Heritage Inn.

With quite the list of sponsors supporting Ducks Unlimited they were able to pull off a spectacular evening filled with good food, a silent auction, a live auction, and a number of different raffles.

Kevin Tipper is the Chairman for the Moose Jaw Chapter of DU and described what he felt was his favorite part of the job.

"Getting out here after everything is set up and after everybody is in place and all the jobs are done and people are here to enjoy the night and the comrade  and the cause. There is a lot of work that goes into this and every one of us has a full time job and this takes time out of it but when you look around the room and see it starting to fill up that's the awesome part."

Tipper also went into detail about what Ducks Unlimited Canada is all about.

"DUCs is an organization that is looking at conserving the wetlands, and the focus has to do with hunters and the outdoors but conserving the wetlands is one of the primary activities that they are interested in."

Tipper also added that more volunteers are always welcome in the committee stating that a lot of work goes into making these events happen.
