If you're a farmer or back yard green thumb, the rain Friday morning was a great way to get your Friday going.  Over 20mm of rain fell in less than two hours to start the day thanks to an early morning storm system.

Things got going just before 4 o'clock with a light show and then the rain starting falling soon after. Most of that rain fell in the first hour and started to taper off as the sun started to rise.

The early morning rain is going to lead to a muggy day as we're expecting a high of 27. There's no rain in the forecast for the weekend right now but with daytime heating, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to see some pop up storms overnight.  Showers will return to the area to start the new week.
