The Moose Jaw Chiefs had a rough weekend in the Bridge City as they dropped a pair of games in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League's senior division.

The weekend opened with a 12-10 loss for the Chiefs to the Saskatoon Steelers on Saturday and then they fell 13-1 to the Saskatoon Brewers on Sunday. 

The two losses put Moose Jaw's record at 3-3 on the year.

The Chiefs will look to return to the win column when they host the rival Regina Heat coming up on Wednesday night at 8 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Peewee Mustangs split their doubleheader on Saturday in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

Moose Jaw opened the busy day with a 9-2 win over the Swift Current Rampage 1 and then followed it up with a narrow 5-4 loss to the Swift Current Rampage 2 at Mosaic Place.

The loss was the first of the season for the Mustangs, who sit at 4-1 on the year.

Moose Jaw will be back on the court on Monday night when they host the Weyburn Thrashers 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Mosaic Place.

The Bantam Mustangs will also be in action on Monday when they host Weyburn at 7:45 p.m. at Mosaic Place.

Moose Jaw's two novice lacrosse teams had busy weekends as they hit the court on Friday and Saturday in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

The Mustangs 2 opened the weekend with a 5-4 win over the Regina Storm in the Queen City on Friday night and then they battled the Swift Current Rampage to a 7-7 tie at Mosaic Place on Saturday.

The win and tie put Moose Jaw's record at 3-0-1 on the year. They're off until May 26 when they travel to Estevan for a pair of games against the Estevan Voltz 1 and 2.

The Mustangs 1 rolled to a 12-1 win over the Vikings on Friday to stay undefeated on the year with a 3-0-0 record.

They will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Regina Outlaws at the Kinsmen Arena. Ball drops at 7 p.m.
