It was just a couple of weeks into the COVID lockdown last year when I broke a rule - unknowingly.  I was getting groceries at one of my favourite stores when I got chased down and chastised by a manager.  I was going the wrong way down a one-way aisle.

I felt bad about it.  I could see the man was feeling the stress, so I apologized and carefully went about my business.

I believe that was my only violation over the course of the past 16 months.

It turns out many Canadians broke pandemic rules and regulations knowingly.

A University of Saskatchewan survey found 29% of respondents broke at least one pandemic regulation and of them, 16% "flouted indoor gathering limits" and "11% didn't heed outdoor gathering limits".

What's more?  More than 20% of those surveyed "had a falling out with friends or family members because of conflicted views on the pandemic".

That's a problem that won't go away when all restrictions are lifted in our province on July 11th.
