I've been a big fan of Brad Wall's for many years - even more so today.

Our former Premier went to social media to write about his take on the truckers' convoy that came through Saskatchewan this week on their way to Ottawa.

Wall says he "went with friends to support the convoy as it hit the Maple Creek Trans Canada junction".

He explains they're "heading east with an earnest message not about the vaccines but about mandates and what they strongly believe to be the wrong policy for Canada."

Wall explained the people he was with were "vaxed" and that "They respect the mandates even if they don't agree with them.  They don't judge those who want more restrictions and more mandates even as the evidence mounts that those restrictions are not working."

He also pointed out, "...hospitalization rates per 100 thousand people are higher in Quebec where they went with lockdowns and curfews than they are in Saskatchewan where the government chose not to mandate restrictions in the face of the latest variant."

Wall also pointed out, "We live in a province where there were 2200 patients (daily average) in Saskatchewan hospitals from all causes in the last quarter of 2019 - BEFORE COVID - and yesterday there were 1825."

Mr. Wall put the situation in perspective for me better than anyone else has been able to.

That's why I'm a big fan of his.
