The Water Security Agency (WSA) released its spring runoff report for March, with varying projections for different parts of the province.

Moose Jaw and surrounding areas like Assiniboia, and Weyburn are expecting well below normal runoff. Regina, Indian Head and Yorkton areas can expect below normal runoff.

The report confirmed lower moisture conditions for many parts of central and southern Saskatchewan.

Conditions change the further north you go in the province. A large band of near normal runoff was reported around Melfort, Saskatoon, and Prince Albert.

Extreme wet conditions carrying through from last fall show a higher-than-normal runoff for the far north areas of the province.

The WSA'S Spring Runoff Report shows the risk of flooding from runoff is considered low unless there is significant rain or snow prior to the spring melt.

A final runoff report is expected in early April unless runoff is near complete in most areas of the province.
