Dillon Peeace’s attempted murder case was adjourned for the 25th time in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Tuesday, but a resolution could be coming soon.

Peeace’s lawyer Brian Pfefferle appeared via telephone and waived his client’s personal attendance. Recognizing that the case has gone through multiple adjournments, asked for a very brief adjournment to Thursday to wrap up resolution talks with the Crown prosecutor.

Provincial Crown prosecutor Rob Parker told the court he was unavailable on Thursday and recommended April 17 as an alternate date.

Judge David Chow commended Pfefferle for attempting to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and granted the adjournment to April 17.

Peeace was charged with attempted murder, along with his brother Kyle, following an alleged machete attack in downtown Moose Jaw on Sept. 28.

Along with being charged with attempted murder, Peeace is also facing charges of breaching an undertaking, causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and breaking and entering.
