PERCY, Arlene

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Berniece Percy (Christensen) on August 28, 2022 at Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK.  She was born on May 25, 1942 in Neepawa, MB to Arthur Christensen and Gertrude (nee Hanaback), and was the oldest of three sisters.  Married to Richard Percy on June 3, 1961 in Winnipeg, and they had three children.  As Richard was in the Canadian Armed Forces, the family moved around a lot until settling in Moose Jaw, SK in 1977.

Arlene loved a wide variety of crafts and worked for Lewiscraft for many years (though her wages were more like a trade for supplies). She loved sports, especially hockey, baseball, and curling and she could often be found multi-tasking by watching a game and working on her latest craft project.  Arlene also played a pretty decent game of cribbage.

Predeceased by husband Richard and her parents; Arlene is survived by her sisters Gail and Anita, children: Kathleen (Jeffrey), Kimberley, and Kenneth (Jennifer); her grandchildren: Wen, Megan, Laura, and Jax were her pride and joy, and she took every opportunity to spend time with them and be involved in their interests.  She adored her two great-granddaughters: Katherine and Evelyn and cherished each time they came for a visit.

Graveside will be held at Sunset Cemetery, just south of Moose Jaw on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK at 3:30 p.m.  Family, friends, and others whose lives Arlene touched are invited to come and reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course just chat.
