With vaccine supplies restocked, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is opening two more vaccine clinics in Moose Jaw on May 2 and 3.

A drive-through clinic will run on Sunday, May 2, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Located at the South Hill Fire Hall at 750 Lillooet St. W, the clinic is open to everyone aged 40 and over and will operate on a first-come-first-serve basis. The queue begins at the intersection of Home St. E at 4th Avenue SW as shown on this map.

Furthermore, a clinic reserved for appointments made ahead of time will open on Monday, May 3, at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Any resident aged 40 and over can book their shot by calling 1-833-SASKVAX (727-5829), or by clicking here. By reminder, as of Thursday, April 29, the vaccine booking system is only open to those 42 and up. If you are aged 40 and over, you will have to wait until Friday, April 30 to book your appointment.

The SHA is advising residents that they may be offered any of the three vaccines approved by Health Canada including Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and Oxford/AstraZeneca. The vaccine you are offered will depend upon what supplies are available. The SHA wants to emphasize to residents that the safest shot is the first shot that is offered to you.

A vaccination pilot program involving four Moose Jaw pharmacies also opened as of Thursday, April 29. Residents can call the Co-op (Hillcrest location), Superstore, Safeway, and TLC pharmacies to book their immunization.

So far, over 50% of Moose Jaw residents over the age of 40 have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
