With the snow gone, the Ministry of Health is warning that ticks are starting to show up in the province and that means the risk of Lyme disease is back.

The province saw four confirmed cases last year, the most in a single year since they started keeping track. With that said, three turned out to be travel related and only one was actually contracted locally but according to officials, there had only been 3 other diagnosed cases since 2008.

Symptoms of Lyme disease can include fatigue, joint pain and neurological problems. For more, click here.
