The seven-day average for daily new cases of COVID-19 fell below 200 in Saskatchewan for the first time since August.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority reported 170 new cases Sunday afternoon, bringing the average infection rate over the last week to 193 cases per day. There were 1,810 tests reported for the day.

There was one new death, and the number of people in hospital with COVID-19 remained at 226.

The active case count across the province declined by 185 to 2,122.

The new cases were located in the following regions: Far North West (13), North West (18), North Central (12), North East (11), Saskatoon (28), Central West (3), Central East (19), Regina (30), South West (5), South Central (6), and South East (13) zones. Twelve new cases have pending residence information.
