Many graduation ceremonies around the province are being held this week, with Moose Jaw's Riverview Collegiate celebrating last night.

Sabrina Lybeck was named valedictorian for the Riverview grad class and has special thanks for teachers at the south hill high school.

"The teachers at Riverview have been wonderful. They're always willing to help you, and since it's smaller, chances are you're going to get help if you need it. And on their own time, they will help you regardless."

Lybeck moved to Moose Jaw from Medsted, Saskatchewan after Grade 9 and spent the last 3 years at Riverview and was named class valedictorian.

She says it didn't take long to feel comfortable at her new school, because everyone was so kind and welcoming and that she really enjoyed the fact that Riverview is a smaller school and there was opportunity to be involved in a number of different sports and activities.

Lybeck will be taking business at the University of Regina this fall.
