Public Health Orders

Due to the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases in the province, Public Health Orders have been changed throughout all of Saskatchewan that now limits household bubbles to only those within your immediate household.

The change is effective immediately.

Places of worship gathering sizes will also be limited to no more than 30 people starting April 16.

The orders will be in effect until April 26 and will be reviewed at that time.

Daily Update

288 new cases of COVID 19 were reported Tuesday, as well as 2 deaths and 280 recoveries.

Both of the deaths reported were in the Regina zone, with one individual being in their 30's, and one in their 60's.

Of the new cases, 17 are in the south-central zone, 117 in Regina, 44 in Saskatoon, 31 in the northwest, 22 in the central-east, 19 in the southwest, 17 in the southeast, five in the north-central zone, four in the far northwest, three in the northeast, and two in the central west. Eight new cases are pending resident information.

2,555 cases are considered active, with 156 of those located in the sub-region 'south-central 2' which is made up of Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.

202 people are in hospital with 161 receiving inpatient care, and 41 are in intensive care.

Vaccines

An additional 7,846 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 298,767.  

The 7,846 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following regions: Far North West (40), Far North Central (1), Far North East (40), North West (137), North Central (311), North East (78), Saskatoon (1,632), Central West (339), Central East (589), Regina (2,742), South West (324), South Central (331) and South East (1,051).  There were 231 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

Fifty-three per cent of Saskatchewan residents age 50+ have received their first dose.
