Performers from across Saskatchewan will be hitting the stage this weekend to support Telemiracle 42, and while a couple of locals made the drive for auditions, only one will be representing the Friendly City at Telemiracle this weekend.

18 year old Emma Therens will be singing on stage on live television for this year's 20-hour charity event. She talked about why she decided to audition this year.

"I've always liked to perform and I've been singing since I was little so when my grandpa told me I should go and try out I thought 'might as well' and I made it."

Therens will be on stage at the Conexus Arts Centre this Sunday at around 7:10 am, and will be performing the song 'Gravity' by Sara Bareilles.

The Kinsmen Foundation holds Telemiracle every year and, through donations to Telemiracle, assists Saskatchewanians to acquire special needs equipment and access to medical treatment.
