The City of Moose Jaw will be holding its second of two household hazardous waste collection days scheduled for 2021 on Saturday. 

Residents can drop off unwanted chemicals and other hazardous material from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. free of charge at the City Complex at 1010 High St. W.  

Some of the material that will be accepted include: 

  • Aerosol Cans (Hair Spray, deodorant, household cleaners etc.) 
  • Liquid household cleaners 
  • Batteries (Lithium ion, alkaline, rechargeable etc.) 
  • Light bulbs (Fluorescent, LED, metal halide etc.) 

The city is reminding residents that oil, oil filters, oil containers, and antifreeze can be dropped off at the landfill free of charge, while paint and electronics can be dropped off at SARCAN for recycling.
