An upper ridge of high pressure over Saskatchewan allowed hot air to move in from the western United States, which put Moose Jaw under a heat warning.

Not just Moose Jaw too, but the Southern and most of Central Saskatchewan. Some of the hottest weather we have seen also, as we hit a daytime high of 35.4 degrees Friday and the humidity made that feel like 43.

It felt like we broke a record for the day, but we were further off than some may think. The record still stands at 37.3 degrees, which was set in 2007.

The night didn't get much relief either, as at 1 am on Saturday, the temperature was at 30 degrees.

It won't feel like much but Saturday holds a relief for the Friendly City, with peak temperature forecasted for 30 degrees, but Monday and Tuesday both have daytime highs of 33.

However we didn't break ours, other municipalities broke their record highs,

Record breakers include:

La Ronge
New record of 32.7
Old record of 31.7 set in 1975

Mankota
New record of 38.4
Record of 38.0 set in 2007

Val Marie
New record of 39.3
Record of 38.5 set in 2007
