The Western Development Museum in Moose Jaw is hosting their annual family friendly event on Saturday, February 10th, called Heritage Day.

Along with their regular displays, Heritage Day will be a hands on event that will feature many activities and films.

"We've got ten films this year from the National Film Board as well as from the Yorkton Film Festival," said Education and Program Coordinator at the WDM, Karla Rasmussen. "So, included in your admission you get to go into the theatre and see these. We got one, it was an Oscar nominated film from a ways back, 1952, it's an animated one called 'The Romance of Transportation in Canada' and it's this cute little retro cartoon that shows the history of transportation, which is what the WDM in Moose Jaw is all about."

The WDM will be joined by several provincial groups and local organizations as part of the day to provide a variety of interactive experiences. This includes butter churning, flint knapping, roping, making clay pots, putting a bridle on a horse and milking a cow on their wooden farm yard critters.

You can learn more about Heritage Day, which runs from 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, on the museum's website
