Over the past few years the Eyebrow Fire Hall members have seen a number of big changes including the location, building and even the type of accidents they can respond to.

Last week they held their Eyebrow Fire Society's annual meeting, where they looked over the last year's accomplishments and what they could improve on, and they brought their community together.

Corey Doerksen, volunteer firefighter and a member of the Fire Board, said the efforts they put towards these necessary changes the last few years are certainly paying off.

"It's a big improvement for the area, we've also now become a rescue fire department which means we respond to vehicle accidents. That's brought a lot of the younger generation into our department as fire fighters."

"Just having a better building to have our training in is definitely a plus, but moving to rescue - it makes things simpler. If you're responding to a car accident as a fire department, now we can also respond as rescue."

The fire hall itself was one of the most notable changes and was something all members were extremely proud of according to Doerksen.

"I think they were pleased with the cost of the fire hall. We came right within our budget, in fact I think we were a little bit under what we were expecting it to cost. We've had tons of compliments on the building itself, the looks and feature of the outside, along with the extra equipment we have now."

Doerksen noted that all members of the board and firefighters are grateful for the support they recieved the past few years that has helped their fire hall reach new lengths and equip them with more life saving skills.
