The announcement was made in April of 2017, and Moose Jaw has been busy planning a challenge course.

Connor Park is now just weeks away from installing a new apparatus. Event Planner for Wakamow Valley, Trish German, explains that they still need the public's help.

"There will be a community call out for volunteers to do a work bee, hopefully over the course of a weekend, to get it up and running by the end of July or early August."

German described why they wanted to create the apparatus and who they drew inspiration from.

"The Connor's Park Challenge Course [is something] we have been fundraising for quite a while on. It's more like a playground for 13 and up. Its designed for teenagers and adults to get out and stay physically active. What it is, is kind of American Ninja Warrior the TV series, but for the regular Joe."

German also talked about the fact that the apparatus is focused on teenagers and adults, and why they chose to do that.

"There is lots of playgrounds in Moose Jaw and the surrounding area that are designed for toddlers and little ones to get out there and go on the Elephant slide or the swing set this get the kids and the adults more involved in playtime you are never to old to get out there and play."

As of July 13th, 2018, fundraising was approximately 85-90% complete, and installation is set to begin soon.
