The wind storm that hit the province on Tuesday hit us hard, but now we get to deal with frigid conditions once again in Saskatchewan.

The majority of the province is now going to experience a cold snap that won't be leaving anytime soon, and it's all because of the Alberta Clipper we experienced.

"We had a very brief warm up ahead of the clipper," explained Environment Canada Meteorologist, Terri Lang. "Which is sort of the classic way it happens and usually there's a big gush of arctic air behind it, which is exactly what's happening."

Now, that ridge of high pressure that moved in behind the storm is going to have a cold effect on our province.

"In place of this up and down weather and these low pressure systems we've been seeing, we're looking at colder temperatures," said Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg. "So temperatures getting down into the minus twenties and even the chance of seeing some extreme cold warnings issued."
