After a week of daytimes highs in the upper twenties and a high humidex, it's no real surprise that we're getting some rain today, but it looks like the rain is going to affect some local events.

So far there hasn't been a significant dump of moisture for Moose Jaw but radar shows some areas could get quite a bit of rain today. There is a chance of some sunny breaks this afternoon as the clouds move on.

There are a lot of events going on this weekend and you've likely heard about the outdoor show called the Medicine Line in southern Saskatchewan. It's a production that tells the history of the Lakota Sioux and Sitting Bull. This year, the show has been put to the side, in order for a different show to take its place.
Spirits of the Trail is kicking off its tour in Moose Jaw Saturday afternoon. Like the Medicine Line, it focuses on the Sioux and their history in southern Saskatchewan.

The performance is part of a heritage festival that starts at 3 o'clock in the old Wild Animal Park on 7th Avenue South. Admission is $10, with children 5 and under getting in for free.

Meanwhile, day two of MOTIF takes over Happy Valley. The annual cultural festival has returned and goes from 1 until 10 Saturday and from 1pm-7 Sunday. Children 12 and under get in free with day passes being sold at the gate. The food, music and cultures of the world are on display.
