The National Gathering that the cities been waiting for begins Monday, as Atamiskākēwak 2018 will have their kick off.

The Heritage Inn will host the Atamiskākēwak Gathering 2018 Opening Ceremony, beginning at 9 am. 

This is one of the public events available during the day. The next will be a presentation by Robb Nash at the Sears buidling in the Town 'n' Country Mall. Anyone Grade 9 age level and above is allowed to attend.

Follwing this will be the  "Up Close and Personal Talking Circle with Chief Dr. Robert Joseph, Ambassador of Reconciliation Canada" at 3 pm in the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Galley. Also at the Art Gallery from 3 pm to 5 pm will be "Legacy of Hope; A National Crime, Canada’s Residential School System Exhibit."

The Western Development Museum will have the Takoza Tipi Camp Tours from 9 am to 9 pm. All of which is interactive and informative.

These are the ones open to public and all Moose Javians can enjoy. They do not require registration.

Also, the daily galleries will begin across town. Saskatchewan Polytechnic will display the Red Dress Exhibit daily from 9 am to 9 pm and the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery will be open to display Indigenous art.

The Moose Jaw Cultural Centre has bee hosting Indigenous Art and will continue throughout April to go along with this week.
