The City of Moose Jaw and SGI came together and initiated the Wing in The New Year Program which offered safe and free transportation for anyone needing it on New Year’s night. The program was big success in the city.

From 7:55 p.m. New Year’s Eve until 3:15 a.m. New Year’s morning, the city transit in Moose Jaw operated for free offering anyone a safe ride home from their celebrations.

38 riders took advantage of this year’s program, 29 people with fixed route service and 9 with Paratransit.

“The City of Moose Jaw thanks everyone who chose a safe ride home on New Year’s,” said Moose Jaw Mayor Clive Tolley. “We thank everyone who makes the decision to not drink and drive, and we thank SGI for sponsoring this valuable service.”
