Brooklyn Nimegeers scored her fifth goal of the game with 7:52 left in overtime to lift the Moose Jaw Mavericks to a 6-5 win over the Southwest Cyclones at the Red Knight Arena on Monday.

The win evened up the best-of-three Peewee South Division semi-final series at 1-1.

Nimegeers scored the first four goals for the Mavericks as they built up a 4-3 lead early in the third period.

With 5:54 left in regulation, Jordyn Cooper scored for the Cyclones to tie the game up at 4-4, but Nimegeers setup Brinnagh McKeen only 45 seconds later to restore Moose Jaw's one-goal lead.

The Cyclones didn’t quit and Mardi Wagner scored her second of the game with 1:19 left in regulation to send the game to overtime.

Nimegeers finished off her big game with the winning goal in the extra period, extending the Mavericks' season.

Moose Jaw goalie Schay Camphaug made 35 saves in the win as the Mavericks were outshot 40-27.

The two sides will now meet in the deciding third game of the series on Saturday in Gull Lake.
