The Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors put together a great day last Saturday at a one-day tournament in Southey.

The Warriors rolled to a 3-0 record during the day to claim the 'A' side title.

Moose Jaw started the day with a 9-2 win over the Regina Royals. Cooper Erickson scored twice, while Trehvan McMorris had a goal and four points to lead the way for Moose Jaw in the win.

Their second game saw the Warriors take down the host Southey Marlins, rolling to a 7-0 win. Layne Gadd scored twice, while McMorris and Kai Spencer picked up a goal and two points each.

Moose Jaw played a tight game in the 'A' side final, but two second-period goals helped propel them to a 3-1 win over the Regina Buffaloes.

Noah Thul, Tayden Hardwicke, and Gadd scored the three goals for the Warriors in the win.

The Warriors are off to a 3-0-1 start to the season in the Hockey Regina League. They return to the ice this Saturday to battle the Regina Mustangs at the Cooperators Centre, puck drops at 8 p.m.
