The Moose Jaw Bantam A Warriors were able to snap a five-game winless skid on Thursday night.

The Warriors skated to a 10-5 win over the Southey Marlins at the Bert Hunt Arena in Hockey Regina League action.

Moose Jaw played a consistent game from start-to-finish with two goals in the first period and then four each in the second and third.

Kyle Yamniuk led the charge with four goals and six points in the win, while Chase Jocelyn added two goals and three points.

Nicholas Lougheed and Braxton MacAngus both registered a goal and two points for Moose Jaw. Tevryn Hoover and Ty Pratte had the other markers in the victory.

The win was just third this season for the Warriors as they improved their record to 3-15-2, giving them a three-point cushion over last place Southey.

Next action for Moose Jaw is on Sunday when they travel to Weyburn to battle the Wings. Puck drops at 2 p.m.
